In the news, in my home anyway...
I run across the news that the North Koreans are flying off to China to talk to their elder brother about the coming 6 power talks - yeah, I know it isn't on your television - but SecState Hillary has her people on it. Anyway, as I watch the video and see the VIPs piling into Limos, I notice that the worth of Communism as an economic engine is plain to see. The limos are made by a Democracy (Germany) and a world famous Corporation (Mercedes). The jet aircraft they were unloading from looked French to me, but I looked it up and find out that it is made by Communist China - they make commercial jets? Yes, they do. My wife wonders why North Korea spends all its time making bombs, and I mention that no one would know they existed if they didn't make something more dangerous than the neighbors. Funny, Japan and Germany could make the biggest bombs in a couple months, but know the cost to the Nuke Club (Guns or Butter?) and get on with business. Iran doesn't have the same reason as North Korea to be a bully, they do have oil and goats, they also don't a real worried neighbors since America is defending Iraq and Afghanistan and there is always an Israeli hot button to push. Just give us a couple years of really bad diplomacy and we could have a very nice end to the economic problems of America. One Last World War, anyone?
