How have you prepared to celebrate the birth?

It matters in your heart, how you prepare to remember the birth of a Savior, you won't feel right until it is - Christmas can become a chore, something you wish you weren't part of, something to get beyond and into the New Year, where we hope things are going to be so much better.

I hope that the idea of a child born to be the hero and sacrifice that I am not is a central part of your experience. I know that every child I meet, I expect great things from, and I am always most happy if I can get a little laughter, a smile for me, a chance to play in their world for a little bit. There are still wise men searching for the child, a savior, a ruler of the world a new King - seems that none of the current crop live up to their promise or promises. Flawed don't you know?

I have things to do in the yard and home, preparation for visitors more important than I, and I do it for my wife (who will always be more important than I). I have hung two stockings and looked up Charlie Brown's Christmas Tree, for I don't have any real visible preparations for the day, the economy isn't going to recover on my wild spending spree, only virtual gifts on farmville.

I wish you all the most important part of Christmas -- Love, real love and warmth and joy. If you get it, it will be there for many years down the road of time.
