It is Saint Patrick's Day....
So, as my mother would like I will have to celebrate, not that she was Irish at all. The oral tradition in my family is that the first Dungey left Ireland during one of the rebellions and moved to Kent and married an English woman. According to one Dungey from Kent, he says the first Dungey was Dutch, and came over with William's army when that happened. Well, I go with the family oral tradition, if one was Irish and trying to start a new life in England, hiding as a Dutchman in Kent would work. The timing is right for either. This is an important part of History of Ireland, England and Europe unstudied in American schools. One of the critical points of the period is the English Bill of Rights. Which would play into the American Revolution, although many don't understand how unless they studied the original context, which all Englishmen, including those in the colonies were to have. Anyway, totally unrelated, my wife (the fine Korean lady she is) took a green jacket to wear at work, they are having a potluck, and told me to wear green today and don't be too lazy. So, I am putting on a green sweatshirt and jogging and then yard work (light) when I return. The Sun is shining on Western Washington today.
