
I had been sleeping since about ten-thirty and needed to finish Agincourt by Bernard Cornwell, of Rifleman Sharpe fame. I left Rifleman Sharpe when he kept going back to India - although all of those stories are great for flying long distances. The current Saxon Tales are great. I have finished this book, I like it and recommend it especially to get the feel of the times, the long bow, and the battle. The author recommends Judith Barker's Agincourt as a History, which gives me something to go read in the future, not that I am studying war any more. I did like Cornwell's filling in of historical detail after the novel is finished, and expounding on the English yeomen and the longbow as their weapon.
