I have just started the Sungkyunkwan Scandal, and it is so much like Hogwarts (but a traditional Confucian Academy) in 19th Century Korea - before the American Fleet blew the doors open for exploitation. Major portion of the scandal is a young lady, who is being chased by the Minister of War, getting into the Academy with her brother's ID tag, and her own studies of the classics. Upper-classmen against the newbies, young folks far from home, and of course an unjust society that needs changed by the principled young heroes.
The other is Bread, Love and Dreams, thirty-six episodes and modern period, like yesterday. Well, got to go and clean up the garage.
