Nice to know people far away care and help...

Shameless advertising for the US Postal Service. Lots of well wishers from the cybersphere for my wife, thank y'all very much. She is doing very well, has something like forty videos to watch while I do the laundry and clean and organize the house and make sure her tea doesn't boil away.

And, since it has been cold enough in the last few Appleseed to shake and shiver our Rifleman's best scores away (although several probably shivered on to the target) we haven't had the famous Winterseed Rifleman patch to award. But they finally heard our complaints loudly in the East (no we aren't working with the government - these guys came through!) and Western Rose sent by EXPRESS MAIL, from Idaho's snow covered hills, some great Rifleman Winterseed patches. Now I am praying for snow covered fields in Oregon and chilling winds - how strange is that? Very, no matter the weather, we will have a great Appleseed. Maybe if Sunday is light I can shoot some AQTs myself between progress checks of my crew. There are slots left if you are so inclined to brave the roadways and find us. Eagle Creek, Oregon and you thought all they had was Ducks and Beavers... nope, they have Eagles, too.

Earl, I think sometime it is just to cold to go outside especially to shoot a gun. Would not make a very good hunter!! It is as cold here in Knoxville as it is in Seattle. It will be 13 degrees tonight. Already looking forward to Spring. We had 2+ inches of snow this morning but already melting. Tell KC hello from us. Love you both, Merl and Marsha
