It is all in the name of whatever...

I have just finished reading "THE RULING CLASS: How they corrupted America and what we can do about it" by Angelo M. Codevilla. It did tell me that I was correct Abraham Lincoln would not recognize the Republican Party, and that I was also right about the Republicans aren't really any different than the Democrats. All those elected to represent us in Washington, and those they select again later (Supreme Court) are different than me and you. They are the elite, the intelligentsia, the RULERS by which all things are measured and found wanting. They think they are the only adults in the country. And they do know what the Constitution has laid out, but ignore it whenever it suits them. Sigh, but we knew that already, didn't we?

The author needed a name for the rest of the unwashed masses, so decides to call us the Country Class, and I am sure it doesn't have to do with Country Music, just wanted to call us something that wasn't RULING CLASS. Well, I like Native, Folk, and I really love being called THE PEOPLE - and those serving in office aren't The People.

Those in charge aren't on my side, for example this story. Mother of three Yes, I do believe that the Law Enforcement Officers stole money from her, abused her vocally and physically and are sure they will never be punished for it. Here in Seattle, such an almost disarmed city, the Police shot a wood carver for not responding to AUTHORITY, and the PROSECUTOR is not filing charges, because someone has to keep the common folk down. And no CIVIL RIGHTS seem to be violated for the Federal enforcement. Sigh probably all Democrats.

Ah, well, I like being one of THE PEOPLE, but call me Earl and don't send any police help in my direction. Too old to be worthy, and certainly too poor. I pay taxes.

I'll go find a copy, sounds like I need to read up on what they are doing. And yes, the ruling class doesn't want us peons to have ANY rights... or guns... That link is just sad, and I truly hope she gets the award!
