I'm betting that there are no takers because it would be more fun to be invited to play Canasta or poker. (I'd like it better.) Shooting isn't fun for most people. If you're going to own a gun, it's a good skill to have, but even those who defend the Supreme Court's interpretation of the 2nd amendment, don't always own guns or shoot at the range. You're probably right that the police can't get there in time to rescue you in a crisis. I'm suggesting that owning and carrying a gun won't always help you in a crisis either. You might actually have more opportunities to use CPR in real life.
and on..... with other concerns.
I answered:
Shooting isn't fun for most people? And why is that? Not taught in school, doesn't immediately lead to romantic encounters, is a serious sport?
The Supreme Court's interpretation of "A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed." is certainly the same American English language that I can read and understand without their help. I would be surprised if you couldn't read the same as I do. You may wish it said something else but it doesn't.
For the record, I have used emergency medical procedures, I have been carrying a firearm and several knives at the time.
And my brother has a really nice motorcycle for a younger old guy.

The real truth is, I haven't anything in this blog worth the time of serving or running for office politicians, nor their aides.
My brother is a great rider, it was something to ride Yellowstone with him and his son on their bikes.
Although I don't shoot much except at varmints any more, the rest of my family often goes to the range to shoot for fun.
