Too much in the news.. not much on the news...

Okay, I watch too much news. I really do believe that Charlie Sheen and Qaddafi have exactly the same problem, delusions of importance. No one is telling them they just don't matter, they never did. It is nice that Charlie exposes his harem - but they are just examples of California Airhead Blonds - and there are lots of better women in California. But Charlie isn't sober enough to know that. Enough! He leaked into local news coverage - this is Washington State, the weather is more important than Charlie.

Speaking of weather, it is raining here, but I started the Trusty Triumph up and am getting it ready to roll out the door, SOON! Of course, we have rain predicted all week.

Oh, on ABC WORLD NEWS, my evening fix, they are playing with MADE IN AMERICA. They went to a home, married couple, two kids and removed all that was not made in America in the home, they are also challenging the viewers to go through their homes recording what they find MADE IN AMERICA - oops, none of the recording devices are made in America - how would they do that? It is interesting, and according to the video displayed on the show - only one flower bowl was left. Then I started wondering, what happened to the books? the food? the alcohol? the tools? the firearms? What happened to the quilt from grandma? the hand made toys, the silver service from Great Aunt? Photograph albums? LP's and something to play them on? They had next to nothing, but they were a younger couple. Or editing for making the point was used. Yeah, and Diane Sawyer was shocked to think journalists don't tell the truth, or were perceived so.

I guess I would have to give up my wife, she wasn't made in America. I would have lots of foreign made items to give up. I bought many of them overseas! Before I retired I spent a lot of quality time there. There wouldn't be complete nothing in this home if they tried to only remove the MADE IN OTHERWHERE stuff. But then I want the Chinese to use an electrical grid without American Technology, Europe is on their own systems they wouldn't suffer too much without us. It is a global community, but there are AMERICAN products, for sale. The big department stores, don't buy there because they can make more money buying elsewhere, honest. There was nothing wrong with shirts from North Carolina - even the Confederacy clothed the North Carolina Rebs with factory made stuff. But recently(last fifty years) the unions, regulations and taxes make getting it elsewhere more profitable.

And won't we all be better off without a HD television? I don't even know if ABC has a radio show for news. The newspapers could make a come back!

Don't forget that our mother was not "made in America" (i.e. the United States) even though her parents were. Does that mean that we have to leave, too? Don't you dare give up your wife! Your siblings love her too much and would go after you if you did something that stupid. ;-)
