I am switching gears from Library Keeper to Shoot Boss, and I am just as far behind as ever. The shoot box did arrive, and my wife moved all fifty-three pounds of it inside from the porch. It doesn't have every thing I wanted, but more of some stuff and it will all keep to the next one whatever I don't use. My range clothing is laid out, the rifles cased, the other stuff already in the Caravan, it will need fueled up tomorrow very early, only two hour drive down I-5. I opened both IAAR and AAR on the Appleseed forum, and established a link on this blog to get to the public one. One last check in the morning of the load and the paperwork - I have to file everything upon completion with the folks back East, which will be fun, since Monday I have to do inmate payroll and the October reports, I did send off the end of October stuff today.
Oh, on my being Superman, my heart doctor says I am wasting my money and his time unless I come up with something better than a faint, once. I do like that opinion. I did report for my brain scan, to see if I had one, if it was taken over by demonic possession, if an alien life form is living there and spying on humankind.... results will be Monday. I do know that I really can relax deeply, that MRI machines are noisy, and that hospital gowns that open in the back are only for the convenience of the staff in covering patients, not in making patients happily securely dressed.

went to see Public Enemies...

which was interesting, loud, violent and very close to history of the time that I have read. I was told to stop whispering to my date, so I did. we went out to dinner after, trying to save the restaurant business one place at a time. I did have trouble identifying the Public Enemy some times, if there had been some water boarding I would have known which were the bad guys, but then maybe almost everyone one was, look at the number of people protecting us now and how safe life is... or do something more interesting like art or literature with the time you save.

She said I needed a haircut, twice... I can take the

hint, get out of the house and do something while she attacks her procrastination piles (the whole works - laundry, windows, plants, rugs, garage cleaning, etc.). So I leave to drop off my prescriptions for later pickup, go shopping for Bonnie and Clyde and The Getaway (McQueen and McGraw) DVDs (no joy, only current stuff on Base Exchange shelves). I am reading The Dillnger Days by John Toland (required reading before watching Johnnie Depp?).
from page 30 and a Lamm bank robbery:
"As the robbers were getting into the car, the driver, an ex-rumrunner with a hawklike nose, saw a man carrying a shotgun walk toward the bank. It was the local barber, one of the thousands of Indiana vigilantes organized to help local police combat the increasing bank holdups, who had been sitting in one of his chairs watching a friend follow the robbers into the bank. When this friend, a very methodical man, didn't reappear and continue as usual to the post office for his morning mail, the barber became puzzled, then suspicious."
Lovely, now I know why Indiana gunnies rock - precedent! shotgun armed barbers! Okay, it was in 1930 before the government started snipping manly body parts away.
I did buy three DVDs, one a Sexy Road trip (on motorcycles, a B minus movie?), one Jodie Foster proves guns are bad "The Brave One"?, and one for my war collection "Taking Chance" I don't get HBO for lots of reasons, but this one is a keeper.
I ran into a couple from my church at the Exchange, I ran into one of the McNeil Island post office workers in the Commissary and the bagger at the Commissary was from Orofino, Idaho, where I stayed while watching the Boomershoot (says he hasn't been back in years - another retired service person - enlist and see the world and have no home to go back to, the towns all shrink too tightly).
Now to get the medication, find some rat traps (although I said I would shoot it if she wanted me to - I have a pellet gun, a good pellet pistol). Then prepare for the rest of my life... or some such foolishness.

We have a two for... Library and Guns and foolishness...

So young person goes to the library to find information - which is a good thing - wants to know about guns and concealed carry - which in New York and Frequent Fearland a BAD thing. AND SOMEONE IN THE LIBRARY RATS HIM OUT TO THE POLICE! Telling anyone what someone else is borrowing or reading will get one fired and maybe charged with the CRIME in my modest library. What is going on?
The ANNOYED LIBRARIAN explains the New York law violated, and just the normal trust betrayed for those interested. And then says you can contact them by email on the Pelham Public Library website. Which I did just because I am shocked! I would still think that librarians should be allowed to carry their personal weapons - I trust them, although not as much as I did yesterday.

If you want it, just do it...
I have been wandering my mind and those of several others, looking for more than I have - it does seem like I am behind and never going to catch up - those obstacles keep getting in my way. The speed bumps on our street were softened today - more angle so you can roll over them at higher speeds and not bump, my wife will be happier. I ran into the bumpy changes in retirement accounts for Unions and organizations demanded by the Economic Stimulus Program - trying to build more cushion since the Market fled with the MSM and government panic. It seems that retirements have to be approved or that the retirement accounts have to be approved by the watchdogs in government before new retirements will be allowed to start. Control, more control, not fun...Speaking of retirement, I have talked to two retirees, and one is making forty-two dollars an hour sitting at home instead of twenty-five dollars an hour sitting at work. His medical is going to rise soon, but that seems to be all he has to worry about in the near future - he has been dying of cancer for over ten plus years - he says he is way ahead of that game and has been blest. Another retiree told me that retirement was so you could spend more time with your grandchildren than you did with your children. I hear the sound of guilt there, but more time is interesting as an idea. I have worked twenty and twenty-five hours part-time a few times since 1994 and had lots of time for my own activities - art, jogging, chasing long legged red heads (okay, I didn't chase any, really) bad poetry and way too long letters. Except for making my week go too fast, and giving me plenty of money for paying bills I am not sure that full time employment is a real life improvement for this old elder man. My wife says something about when the mortgage is paid off, and that will be quicker than she thinks since all debts paid off mean that much is shifted to paying off the remainder.
The promise of Summer arrived today, saw it coming last night and woke to wonder of wonders, so I rode the Trusty Triumph and thought strange things: Drive By Work Day. When I looked at what I accomplished; with 257 circs, training the new guy and moving the ILLs out, in and onto the Internet and into our catalog and overdue notices and restrictions applied (more things getting in the way of circulation?) and the library lightly cleaned and visited by two DOC supervisors for effect, I could have been out on the motorcycle chasing long legged red heads. Or in reality, just making my day on the bike just too cool to ever stop grinning about.
In the more serious side of my errant thoughts is that sneaking hunch that I don't need the government as much as they really need me, cause I am not afraid of much except the Lord. So when Kevin passed the link to LIVE FREE OR DIE that he had picked up from GeekWithA.45. and I downloaded the Adobe copy to pass around to the computer free folks. Strange to think that there are people without computer access all the time... I am still reading about the Revolutionary War and Whys and Ways. Although another Robin Hood stands close in the background for picking up and getting lost in...
My younger neighbor, all Army, cut three yards and they all looked good when I got home, so I had to kiss my wife good-bye, eat my dinner and pull my mower out to play catch up - and don't you know it does look better now. But I still warmly remember riding my motorcycle back from work, so smooth, so wild under control, and the great grin that loves leaning deeper into those turns I stopped at the Credit Union to pick up checks and saw a little scooter my wife needs to zoom around town upon (nah, a Honda Rebel with attitude is what I think she needs). More bikes out this afternoon, and I suspect that many folks cut their work day short in order to be there when I rode by and flash me that secret squirrel inverted V sign. The promise of more Sunshine tomorrow, so I go jogging, rifle shooting for qualifications and love of the fusion of me, rifle and target, edging the walks, trimming the trees and cleaning up. I haven't figured out if old people don't see the dust because of poor eye sight, or they understand that life is about living not just cleaning up things that don't move enough to knock the dust off.
Speaking of which, get out there and dance - knock that dust off... before some one thinks you need dusted. The Cactus Patch doll in the picture was made by my wife in 1985, given to my mother same time, and until yesterday never dusted nor washed - but she's clean and fresh again, arms open for a big hug.

Easter in the Great Northwest, and my heart...

It is raining on Easter and the Sunrise in its glory is behind the clouds. Don't you know it is beautiful above the clouds and beyond the bounds of Gravity and Earth's grip? So often one has to be a pilot to see the beauty of our home -- far from the grit and grime of our lives. It rains here on Easter. A cool refreshing rain, turning the grass and moss into a gleaming green, rich and alive. The flowers are blooming, birds courting and flying off to safer nesting areas. It is Easter and I am reminded that Spring is a new beginning, to get started on that harvest for the returning Winter. We are blest with the opportunity to do it again, to do it even better; it is time to be about Love's business.

Pay up, lay down your bets, getting in the game...

I do buy Lotto tickets, one per drawing, knowing that it is the best tax on the poor and mathematically challenged ever devised -- but then I never figured the Government was Good, just opportunistic and amoral. Thirty-five cents goes to the State, seven cents goes to the vendor, then there is advertising and maintenance costs - the remainder is paid out to the winners. If there is only so much Luck in each person's life, then I have had all of mine and I am happy, I don't expect to win the big one, but then I do want to play - I just don't gamble, being I never risk what I can't afford to lose.
I was thinking about all that today as I paid the bills, and balanced my books and almost made it out of the hole... I paid a lot down on the bills and loans, and was hoping that with that surge of the Stock Market (based on whimsy) I would be ahead of what I owe... but not yet, as I paid the bills the pool of cash shrunk, so I am around minus eight hundred dollars of even. Not that I couldn't think I was ahead - I never figure the sale of the home, cars, motorcycle, guns and china services, furniture, computers, televisions and such. I also never figure I will die and the insurance will pay off much if my heirs are watchful and aware. With the full court press of President Obama and his folks I am sure that there are surprises in my financial future - when you add up all the taxes on people and the new improved government services they want to fund with the tax on those rich folks they will coming after mine soon enough. If there were to be a great change that would free up the FREE MARKET, it would be one tax payer, one tax collector in the United States.
I am only Earl, but I pay taxes to the Federal Government, the State Government, The County Government. I once had broad shoulders, but weighing me down has rounded them a bit and bends my back. Why do I put up with such foolishness, it wasn't always that way, was it?

I received my renewed Concealed Pistol License...

and no matter what the anti gun crowd says - no child has been shot, not one suicide in this home, and I have never been involved in a gun fight in the street, at the Mall nor during someone else's road rage. Of course, I respect life and fine shooting and good weapons of many kinds, that and the fact that more good things are done with the firearms than what the criminals do with them.
Today is the first day of Spring, 80% chance of rain, highs in the fifties - yes, that is motorcycle riding weather for Earl. No, I don't put on my rain suit until I have soaked to the skin, then I put on the rain suit. Work was fine, ordered the last of the books, correctly and then thought someone was telling me I had done something wrong (but it was shotgun management style - blast away -- a little birdshot bursting everyone's bubbles) and I had to learn how to submit my travel for the conference and that is all new - this being an old man is so frightening when they add easier software to help me. Okay, I am not scared, but don't like looking like an idiot to the computers - I have seen the Terminator in action, and I felt like an idiot while I played with the entries and the computer kept telling me I was wrong I couldn't go back in time - and I am looking at the machine thinking I almost wish I could.
I got two good rides in today, the rain hit before I woke, while I worked in the library, and before I left to ride home- I even saw the SUN, briefly between gray towering clouds pushed by high winds and sea gulls. Still I get a nice feeling that after a few more wicked weeks of Western Washington's Winds and Waves (the ferry slams into the floating docks!) it will really be Spring and more fun than I deserve. My vacation time has been approved for the Boomershoot!
Only one last thing to write about, opening the door to the house, seeing my wife cooking in the kitchen and her smiling and telling me that I have to take CPR training - cause her heart isn't working very well today. She got leveled, went to her doctor and then on to work, and her blood pressure is high and the results of her other tests aren't back yet. But she wants me to worry about her coming heart attack - okay, dear, put it right there beside the other stuff on the procrastination pile. I did tell her to put the salt shaker back down and don't add any salt to the dinner, there is enough in the meat naturally. I do know CPR, just don't certify frequently.
You did notice I haven't written about the President and World Shaking events? Notice that this starts with something seemingly important (the 2nd Amendment and Concealed Pistol License) and gravitates right up to the only thing that is critically important in my life - hot coffee, nice steak and vegetables and my loving wife. Yeah, I know what I might lose sleep over.

Progress, isn't it just amazing? yes it is...

I can move in several hours to my mother or my son, and visit or find work and move in. Or they could move in my direction - well, my mother probably can't and since Washington joined Oregon in assisted suicide I wouldn't want my mother here anyway - she has told me for years if she lived in the same house as I did I would kill her. I did live in the same house as she did for years and I never killed her then, I did lots of running away and trying to keep her from messing up my life with other people (I could mess it up well on my own, thank you!)
So with things worrying at my wife, no real conversations between people hiding stuff from each other, wanting to make life better but not willing to give up control, or personal desires, nor the ability to make everyone feel guilty for not making your life better, and knowing that any President, no matter how many Rolling Stone covers he graced, can help. I give up! Maybe if I sleep on the problem the answer will wake me.
The morning after: my mother is buying a cart to carry her around, staying where she is and I have had a full night's sleep -- see what worrying gets me? Wrinkles and gray hair.

Time sure flys when we're having fun...
Yeah, even a quiet day - aside from going out to have a nice dinner - goes too fast, most of today has been talking about our dreams and nightmares, our better past and all the blessings we have had. The missed opportunities and the funny way we got more than we deserved and the laughter and warmth of three or four different cultures, hundreds of friendly good folks we met and the things we need to do as we shut down the operations as the body gets older and slower and the heart pounds on steadily. As long as it is together we will be okay - either of us alone is a danger to society, luckily we aren't as dangerous as we once were, and certainly better that we behave because love and laughter has been our brightest spot in the darkness of "THEY" and their conspiracies against our happiness.I wrote that I wasn't aware that I was surrounded by so many beautiful women when I was younger, but I was totally aware, in the picture my sister Joy, my mother holding Paula (who was a knockout then and now) and behind the camera I figure my little sister Nanette (as an angry teenager). Best part of it that their hearts are what is the most beautiful, lasts long past the earliest wrinkles and the nightly removal of makeup.

Some things hurt more than others...
I dragged the garbage can to the curb, in my sweat pants and muscle shirt with the wooden shoes on, in the snow, my wife asks if that was what I wore and tells me I will catch cold. But I don't believe in colds from the cold just from the snotty, sneezing, coughing huggers with the red teary eyes. Don't know many of them so will be well, did think about riding the motorcycle but the weatherman is iffy today and it will be dark and could be freezing by the time I go home, I will cage me...
I was busy and someone called my name over and over at work, wanting my attentions, the snarling alpha male in me came up and I came out of my den saying things loudly about RUDE, IGNORANT, THOUGHTLESS people (which I had just become one of). The point of my anger cringed and whimpered and said things like "racist remarks and mumble, mumble..." and I felt the fool for being less than he expected and for having hurt him. I hadn't said anything racist that I recognized, but he felt that IGNORANT was racist - while I think ignorance can be cured it is stupidity that seems to be genetic, and I hadn't called him stupid. He snuck away, and I had won but knew that I had really lost - control and one patron that thought he was my buddy and we could talk... I will have to try and repair that relationship somewhere in the future. It will take a while. There is only one of me, two of my fellow library keepers are retiring this year and we still have two vacancies that haven't been filled - going for four and the State has frozen hiring for budget problems (not enough Lotto ticket buyers, not enough sales tax). I must try and fix all that for the ruling Democratic Party, or something.
I did turn off my television news when I found media and the unrighteous preparing to sacrifice their children on the altars of Science and Medicine, and the enlightened representatives of the American people preparing to write Ethical Guidelines for the ritual and rites. Our Congressmen and women know anything about ethics? It probably shouldn't bother me, Science and Medicine are such little gods and the sacrifices are such little defenseless lives - I could never see them without a microscope. But I thought sex was to bring forth babies to gurgle and smile and hold and love. Better go back to what I do best; killing and destroying and listening to the wail of the women...

My wife doesn't understand my laughing...
I have proof of Global Warming, the upper left old guy pushing the bagger cleaning up the yard was from February and he was so proud that he had done something to make Earth more Eden-like. Now it is March, he traveled over 280 miles this weekend through rain, sleet, hail and snow to help train three new Riflemen, and about twelve soon to be's, getting up early after a wonderful dreamfull sleep to check the blogging community and notice they never missed me - and my wife awakes to cancel her doctor's appointment to stay home until the snow melts. One would think as fast as Congress and the President are burning money in Washington there wouldn't be any snow anywhere - carbon foot prints of Giants, just ask them. Anyway, I must drop back into the real world, I didn't fire one round the entire weekend but I was talking targets, history of America, and helping teach and coach America's future Riflemen. Isn't the snow beautiful? God loves us.

Just two thoughts to share while standing in line...
the line at the Courthouse for my renewal of my Concealed Carry License.
Thought number one - why are all these normal looking people here in this line - so many in front of me and as I move forward, so many behind me. An Obama effect? nah, couldn't be.
Thought number two, having been in the Driver's License line at DMV and now this line at the Courthouse - how is government providing/support/control of medical care going to make my world better? Well, yours anyway, I have been receiving government assistance on my medical care for a long time --- and as it was noted when I was a Drill Sergeant and they took me to the head of the treatment line -- when a Drill Sergeant goes on Sick Call he is really sick.

Civilian Marksmanship Program
Civilian Marksmanship Program :
Normally, we average receiving 2,000 - 3,000 sales orders per month
and ship an order in 2-3 weeks. However, these are not normal times.
Since October, 2008 we have been receiving 5,000 - 10,000 orders per
month, which is several times normal. As a result, we are very back-
logged and running several weeks behind on processing orders. Our
staff is working up to 12 hours per day 7 days a week, and only to-
day finished the 4,000 orders we received on 1 December alone (except
for those 1 Dec orders with credit card or other problems).

What I learned at work today...

Newsweek has another bright red cover, and declares that Obama has a Confidence Game going... working with inmates that always have a confidence game going I knew I recognized the entire Economic Stimulus Program as one of the biggest Confidence Games going... but I won't be the sucker, I didn't sign the promissory notes, nor vote on passage of the total foolish package. President Obama should have lined out the bad parts and sent it back. Not to worry, it doesn't matter to the inmates nor I.
Lots of good work done in the library, and the crowning point of my day was during the last thirty minutes. I got called a name, okay, not such a big deal, but I like being called Earl and I don't like being called "Boss" not by my crew or anyone else trying to "con" me (not that President Obama ever could - doesn't he smoke?) anyway an inmate approached and said "Jefe, the other Jefe over there said I had to make it right." and I was laughing in my heart so hard it cracked my best grin out over my face. I fixed his status so he could borrow books again and went over at closing and talked to that other Jefe about our new titles - and he denied he was a Jefe... I don't like Mexican and Mexican-American gangs, but I do like real people doing the best they can, more Mexican readers the better. Another Absent Father wants some good books on Creative Ways to teach his children ABCs and Numbers, and now I am, too. Good day, better night.

Hibernation ended here today...

I have to get out there and stimulate the economy. Sure fuel prices have been creeping back up, still I had to cut the lawn and get rid of the leaves, attack the moss, stomp on the mole hills before they become mountains. And I know why bears are grumpy when coming out of hibernation, they go twist the wrong way when whacking a tree with dead bees and no honey, and they hurt their back, that's why. I was going to exercise gently and then go shoot, but responsibility got in the way. The yard looks a bit better, and after my left-over lunch (which I carefully ate around the rice and potatoes) my wife says she will take me out to dinner tonight - some pagan ritual probably - never know about Korean Baptist ladies.
I ironed my shirts and pants last night while watching men and women in a bit more than nothing dance and jump around the squared circle charming the chumps (yes, I was one paying attention - looking for the famous Ranger Chokehold), anyway, about my shirts and pants - it is time to buy replacements. Shirts, long sleeve, button down collar, size 16 1/2 33-35, color white, light blue or french blue, 100% to 80% cotton (six of them). Trousers, Dickies work trousers with cellphone pocket on right leg, reinforced knees, color steel or silver - but not white nor gray, 34 x 32, (six of them). That should help me look better, get my wife off my back a bit, and stir that economy. Those new shoes I bought, the Teva ones with the spider on the heel are very nice - one more pair of those. I also want a pair of Carhartt Duck Bib Overall to wear when I go shooting, seems some folks don't want the militia movement cammo worn and I have this weight and belt problem making my sitting shots bounce with my surging pulse beat. Love having a beating heart, just don't want the compression of my fat against the arteries to affect my shooting. Speaking of shooting and the economic stimulous package...
In the home are five clips of eight rounds of 30-06, and four loose rounds in the grab and go ammo can (.22 also but I never count them). In the Caravan are eighteen clips of eight rounds of 30-06, and sixteen rounds in a box, in one ammo can, and sixteen boxes of 30-06 (20 per box) and one box of Federal 30-06. Hardly enough for the depth of the Depression and Uncivil Disturbances about to show up at my front door. Nor is it enough to punch all the paper and steel targets I need to practice upon to get better at this American Rifleman position I aspire to... So I figure about five hundred dollars to CMP will get me about 1384 rounds of 30-06 in the ammo cans - with a give or take on the shipping costs. A couple more bricks of .22 would be good, the .45 APC and 9mm Luger are enough until I start shooting them for competition (never: too old, too slow, too un-needed - you know why men want bigger guns). Anyway, there are another hundred rounds of 30-30 and of 30-06 for the hunting rifles, and all kinds of bird shot and slugs for the shotgun.
Well, too much possibility of rain to wash the Caravan, although after a bit of reading I may sneak out and grease the chain on the motorcycle, bring the tires up to pressure if they aren't and prepare for sunshine riding on the Trusty Triumph, so much to do and only so much of me.

Don't want to go to work today...
Should just go back to bed and sleep until aroused... but then I would be adding to the overall economic failure of the Obama Administration, so get up and out and make the doughnuts. I caught the President making a remark about the steroid abuse in the Major Leagues, the tragedy is in the abuse in Pony League and High School not in the Majors where everyone was making lots of money for slow stupid death. And medically steroids are important for healing and growth. Now his thinking that the ball players are role models and should be above this was interesting, but didn't he just approve Federal Funding (more stimulus?) of embroynic stem cell research? Wait until you see the monsters we will get from that, amazing that he can't make the connection of good science and medicine used for all the wrong reasons by people for profit and pretty. Kind of like morphine and such - used properly a fine medicine, otherwise slow stupid death.
I liken the current frenzy to protect us from Economic Disaster, or Terrorist Attack, to the Body Armor of Knights of old, or those fine Infantry sitting in armored HMMVs. You aren't light on your feet, take too long to dress, spend too much energy in lift and motion and only work at thirty percent efficiency in combat. As the Federal Government protects us from all our follies and foolishness and failures - we will become less able to take care of ourselves - we will be looking for someone else to care for us. Well, maybe you will, I will be in hiding or just worn out paying for more taxes for all the wonderful protections in place.

Better win the Lotto tonight, in just fifty minutes...
I focus on immediate work, and fly through the day - like I did yesterday, although yesterday I worked my later shift and missed ninety minutes of fun with guns, Breda and Ahab, and fine folks. Anyway, the fog was waiting for me in the morning, as was the blue-eyed snowcat that want to adopt me - or just likes being stroked. Same chill in the air, thanks Al. Same walk in the darkness to the dock, feels good, nap on the boat. Open the library and work. Carry three bins of mail down to the mailroom, bring two bins and two boxes of new books back - and no inmates escaped, nor helped this limping old man, should have asked my supervisor for assistance, since she hasn't gotten me any yet.
Good books coming in - I see three I really want to read, but can't because Newsweek says President Obama is going to remake America, is it going back to the wonderful one I grew up in? You know; before PC, credit cards, internet, abortion and sex education. Probably not. Funny, my mother (who didn't leave the country when Bush was selected, twice, but thought about it) is very happy and she hopes he (President Obama) will have them bring all the people in Iraq, back to the States. I didn't know all the Iraqis wanted to come to America. It would certainly be a start on remaking the country, wouldn't it? Well, quick lunch and back to work.
The three man crew and I really do well, although I sometimes wish I could stop them from bothering me when I have focus - but then realize they have needs, too. So I take the quick break to get stuff for them, and back at it. Ordering ILLs, finding MARC records for donations being added, labeling for Call Numbers, answering emails and back to patron requests and the traffic is light today in the library, a couple of newer inmates to add to the system and a call to the Shift Lieutenant for an RM escort (doesn't happen for whatever reason). One final check of the email and I find my supervisor wanting to know if something happened on/or by the 21st of January so she could report it completed to her boss by the 22nd. I answer "nope" and log off my computer and close the library.
One of my thoughts as I noted it is day two of President Obama's Reign, and I am working as fast as I can, and I haven't caught up, there isn't any help at my level for getting just the light work in the library done - and I am expected to trust the government to get it perfect anytime soon? I have worked inside the government (not governing anything thankfully, yet) for a little more than forty years -- I thought I had been doing pretty good, and sometimes darned fine work, but now I have to change... sad day to know I am the problem and not part of the solution. Best get to doing my taxes, although I am so far ahead of the nominated Secretary of the Treasury in doing them well, never having had too much money to tax wrong. Now if my numbers will just drop I could do as badly and land a great government job... retirement!
Good books coming in - I see three I really want to read, but can't because Newsweek says President Obama is going to remake America, is it going back to the wonderful one I grew up in? AHSA have you met them yet, shooting?
Ah, something good to send one's fellow Americans. And no, I don't think they are telling me the truth about many things; they haven't sponsored any hunts, shoots, range building, high school rifle teams, repealing of any gun control laws nor listed the politicians that are for the total 2nd Amendment. So, they aren't my answer to the coming reasonable discussion - but I know some voters that would not like to see Pro-Gun Pro-Obama on the same bumper sticker everywhere.A thought: the POWER of ONE is important to remember. If you teach one child the four rules of firearms safety - it is a win for the Gun. If you take one person and teach them how to get sight alignment, sight picture, pause, focus on front sight, caress the trigger and hit the target as aimed upon. That is one more win for the Gun. I don't care what size the firearm, air gun, spring launch, number and caliber of the round - safety, respect and proficiency in personal technique, one hole in the target from one bullet launcher and one shooter that ONE is a win for the Gun.

Time to get out of the home and into the world...
Funny night, I dreamed about libraries - now that is different and I haven't checked the blood pressure but since my weight was down - I will pretend until later my bp is also. Off to church for my quiet time. And after-- this was my afternoon.
